This is an excellent shirt that goes together perfectly. I wanted a raglan t-shirt and hadn’t been finding one to my liking. I bought this, made up a test garment and it fit me perfectly! It skims the body but isn’t too tight. I immediately made two more, also adding long sleeves.

I am quite new to sewing and found this shirt easy to make and it fits superbly. The instructions are quite brief but I don’t think you can go wrong even with a few assumptions. I also did the pdf print version and was surprised how easy it was to stick 17 pages together! And I like that the resulting pattern is on firmer per than usual pattern fabric so I think I would choose it again!

This is my absolute favorite t-shirt pattern! It is kind of a slim fit, but doesn’t cling over my surplus tummy padding. I have made it twice so far, out of two spandex jersey fabrics. I took an inch out of the neckband, but of course this will vary depending on your fabric’s stretch. I often lengthen patterns (I am 5′ 8″) but this one was fine as-is. I am highly averse to sticking together PDFs and usually pay for copyshop printing, but even I was able to put this one together fairly quickly. It fits great! My only change was adding top stitching along the neckline-to-sleeve hem seam. I used my “lightning bolt” stitch (set to minimum width, maximum length) for topstitching. I love my tops! I will make more!

My go-to tee staple. Have made four, including adding long sleeves to two. Quick sew that is so comfortable to wear. Have used rugby knit for three, but heavier knit the other; all turned out really well. Also works really well using colour blocked sleeves. Great pattern that fit me really well.

Really liked this pattern, but I love all Style Arc patterns. Fabric from Fabric.com PineCrest Strata – 80% poly 12% Lycra. Used the reverse cover stitch on seams – used FOE for neckline

I made this in black knit with stretch velvet sleeves for a holiday shirt. I made a straight 30 and fit was quite good. A little wide through the chest and shoulders but that’s normal for me. Very quick sew and loved the results. I lengthened the sleeves to 3/4 and it was great.

How Do I Know What Size I Am?

Choosing your pattern size is the most important step and we will help you determine this with these easy to follow steps.

  1. When taking your measurements ensure that you take them against your skin and not over clothing. One can wear a comfortable bra and knickers whilst measuring, as this will provide you with the most accurate measurements.
  2. Tape measure has to sit firmly around the points you are measuring. But be careful not to pull it too tight, as this will give you the incorrect size.
  3. When measuring circumferences (B, C, D, E) it is important to note that the tape measure must remain parallel to the floor. It is sometimes best to take the measurements in front of a mirror; this will help you see the angle of the tape measure.
  4. You will only require the basic body measurements to determine your pattern size which is indicated on our mannequin below:
A. Shoulder Breadth

Place the tape at the edge of the shoulder. Measure along the top of the shoulder blade/across the highest point of the shoulders to the other edge, following the natural slope and allow an extra finger for ease of any movement.

B. Upper Arm Girth

This point is taken as a circumference at your widest point of your upper arm.

C. Bust

This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the fullest part of your chest.

D. Waist

This point is taken as a circumference and taken at the smallest part of your waist.

E. Hip

This point is taken as a circumference parallel to the floor at the widest part of your hips.
