Q.) How do I fuse the collar for my jacket pattern?

A.) The preferred way to fuse a pattern pieces is by ironing the fusing to the wrong side of a piece of fabric. One must then lay the pattern pieces down on the fused fabric and cut out.

Q.) How deep do I cut into the matching notches?

A.) You always cut the notches less than the seam allowance.
* For example: on a woven pattern where the seam allowances are 1cm or 3/8th” notch the fabric 5mm or ¼ “.

A.) After the pattern has been cut out, one must place it on the fabric and secure it with pins and cut along the edge of the pattern.
